A surgery in Hatfield has been awarded a ‘good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Lister House Surgery, in The Common, received a good rating for all categories, meaning that services are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

The inspection report stated that patients receive effective care and treatment that meets their needs, and that staff deal with patients with kindness and respect and involve them in decisions about their care.

Inspectors said “The way the practice was led and managed promoted the delivery of high-quality, person-centre care”, and praised the surgery for treating patients in a timely way.

The inspection recommended the surgery continues to ensure staff immunisation checks are in place, all emergency medicines are checked on a regular basis and the Patient Participation Group continues to be developed.
