A SHOPPING centre was evacuated this afternoon (Monday) after a bag was left unattended by a shopper.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called at 3.51pm today to reports of an unattended bag in the Galleria in Hatfield.
“As a precaution, the centre was evacuated.”
She added: “The bag, a rucksack which had been left on a bench near to Marks & Spencer, was subsequently examined and found to contain personal possessions.
“The owner turned up shortly after to reclaim it.”
