Welwyn pensioner fined after trying to go wrong way round roundabout

An 82-year-old woman has been fined after driving without due care and attention in Hatfield.
Pauline Hurd did not appear at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court when her case was heard on November 11, but she entered a guilty plea to the charge of driving without due care and attention.
The court heard how she had tried to drive a Toyota Aygo the wrong way round the Comet Way/Green Lanes roundabout on May 13.
Hurd, of Carleton Rise, was fined £150.
She must pay victim services £30 and costs of £85.
Six points were added to her licence.
