WHEN Sarah Harvey opened up a birthday card from the Queen yesterday, it wasn’t for the first time.
Tyneside-born Sarah celebrated her 107th birthday yesterday at the Hatfield Nursing and Residential Home in Tamblin Way, Hatfield, where she has lived for the past 14 months.
She was visited on her birthday by her daughter Thelma Turner, 82, granddaughter Margaret Smith and her husband Richard, and great grandson Michael.
Nursing home manager Wendy Lawther said: “Sarah is a wonderful lady and we are delighted to be celebrating this special day with her and her family.”
