HATFIELD rail station was closed by police this afternoon (Friday) due to a fire in the car park.
Fire crews were called to the Great North Road station at 3.40pm after a Land Rover was alight.
The site was closed as the service, who are still on the scene, dealt with petrol leaking from the vehicle.
A First Capital Connect spokesman confirmed that the station is now open again.
