Hatfield pupils showcased their dance talents
Pupils from a Hatfield school received incredible feedback after performing their dance routine live.
Onslow St Audrey’s pupils performed a range of dance genres including street, contemporary, ballet and hip hop to primary schools, St Philip Howard and Oakview.
As part of assessments, the Year 10 and Year 11 BTEC dancers had to perform their exam pieces to two live audiences.
The primary students, who were all dressed up for World Book Day, enjoyed the Year 11 piece which was dedicated to Disney Films Brave, Beauty and the Beast and Frozen.
Miss Walker, PE and dance director of the show, joined Year 10 student Stephanie Gaillard-Purcell in a rendition of Singing in the Rain using umbrellas as props.
A spokesperson for the school said: “Special mentions must go out to the amazing voices of Julia Szczesna and Erin Thompson who sang ‘Titanium’ whilst accompanied by dancer Eloise Pomroy.”
During the interval and after the show the primary school pupils were invited on stage for a dance off.
Governor Heather Dyce said: “It was one of the best shows I have seen.”
A representative from St Philip Howard said: “Absolutely Brilliant. Some of them are so smiley. It is so obvious that they love what they do, and their timing is brilliant.
“It is a fantastic opportunity for our students to visit.”
