PUPILS from Onslow St Audrey's School's Year 9 gifted and talented group enjoyed a coaching session at the Stevenage Borough Football Academy.

The scheme aims to provide students with an insight into how professional footballers train.

And several of the players from the Hatfield school looked hot prospects for the future.

They have been invited to attend Centre of Excellence trials later this month.

Supporter liaison officer Alex Tunbridge said: "The coaching session was a huge success.

"It allowed us to let children outside of our normal catchment area experience the facilities we have to offer."

He added that the Blue Square Premier club would be offering similar opportunities to other schools as the club continues to extend itself out into the local community.
