CUSTOMERS will have to spend a little bit more than a penny if they want to use the new public toilets in Hatfield.

The town centre's new facilities will cost 10p to use.

Installation company Danfo says the 'small charge' reduces the level of vandalism.

The toilets, which cost £160,000 to install, will be open 24 hours, seven days a week. The two toilets, one of which is fully disabled accessible, replace the old block by the Market Place, opposite Queensway House.
