AN 85-YEAR-OLD man remains in hospital with a head injuries after a crash between a car and a van.

AN 85-YEAR-OLD man remains in hospital with a head injuries after a crash between a car and a van.

The smash, at around 8am on Saturday, occurred in the service road into Tesco at Oldings, Hatfield.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa and white Vauxhall Combo van were in collision.

The van driver, a Hatfield pensioner, was taken to the QE2 Hospital with a head injury and is currently in a stable condition.

Pc Denise Rayner said: “We are trying to establish the circumstances of the collision.

“I’m appealing for anyone who saw the Corsa prior to the collision, in Tesco car park or petrol station, or anyone who saw the collision occur.”
