Hatfield memorial services next week
Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday services will be taking place in Hatfield.
On Saturday, November 11, a wreath laying ceremony will take place at The Hatfield Park War Cemetery at 11am for Armistice Day.
Hatfield’s Remembrance Sunday Service is on November 12 at 11am.
The service, organised by Hatfield Town Council, takes place at The Hatfield War Memorial Gardens opposite Hatfield Railway Station.
There will be a parade from the Red Lion to the Memorial Garden at 10.45am, which will be led by a piper and drummer, followed by the service.
Both services will be attended by Hatfield Town Council leader Lenny Brandon and Hatfield mayor James Broach.
Hatfield Town Council leader Lenny Brandon said: “We must never ever forget those who have paid the ultimate price for our liberty.”
