A MAN from Hatfield who persuaded a child to perform a sex act on him more than 10 years ago has been sentenced at the Old Bailey.

Anthony Riley, from Stockbreach Road, had been found guilty of committing gross indecency with a child during an earlier trial at the Central Criminal Court.

He had already been sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for 24 months at a previous hearing.

On Friday, Riley, 28, was back at the Old Bailey, as an order was placed on him indefinitely disqualifying him from working with children under the age of 16.

The order does not affect contact with Riley’s own three children.

Riley, wearing blue jeans, a white polo shirt and dark blue hooded top, stood up only to say he understood the terms of the order, as Recorder Sir Geoffrey Nice handed it down to him.
