A PUBLIC meeting will be staged on Monday, to outline the latest developments in the battle against the county council’s plans to build a 220m incinerator in Hatfield.
The meeting, which will take place at the Number 1 Hatfield Community Resource Centre, at 1 Town Centre, Hatfield, is being convened by the Welwyn Hatfield Green Party.
The keynote speaker will be David Ashton, an expert in the field of sustainable waste disposal.
Mr Ashton will speak about why he believes incineration is not the way forward for dealing with our waste.
He will argue that there are safer and more efficient methods that use greener technology, involve more recycling and do not endanger health.
Entry is free and refreshments will be provided. The meeting starts at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
