GET a real taste of rural life at Hatfield House today (Friday) for the first day of the annual Country Show.
The 17th century Jacobean mansion is throwing open its doors to visitors and inviting them to come and try a wide range of foods, activities and crafts.
Among the attractions this year will be food writer and television personality Sophie Grigson with MasterChef 2009 winner Mat Follas in the celebrity cookery theatre; helicopter flights over Hatfield House; horse shows; clay pigeon shooting and a dog racing and novelty show, featuring categories such as Dog Most Like its Owner and Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home.
Entry costs �8.50 for adults, children aged between 5 and 15 cost �5.
*You can get a free child ticket in this week's Welwyn & Hatfield Times. Simply cut out the voucher in this week's paper and take it with you to the show.
