THE sales team at Hatfield’s Beales Hotel have been seeing stars before their eyes after hand-decorating nearly 1,000 cookies.

Aiming to give customers an early taste of Christmas, Gemma Holden and Katie White have been delivering glittery cookie baskets to clients old and new this month.

“I know it may seem early to be promoting Christmas, but in the hospitality trade we are always looking at least three months ahead.

“We have some fantastic events over Christmas and our Robbie Williams tribute nights are selling like hot cakes, excuse the pun!” said events manager Gemma.

Beales Hotel head chef Diego Granada made the cookies which Gemma and Katie then decorated and wrapped by hand.

“We had edible glitter everywhere for a few days, but customers have really appreciated our efforts,” said Gemma.

“Someone has mentioned Easter, but I am not sure I can face a thousand eggs!”
