A DISABLED grandmother has been left distraught and wanting to move after her "only companion" - her puppy - died after an attack by an off-the-leash Rottweiler.

The 11-month-old Chihuahua suffered a fatal heart attack from the shock of being mauled by the larger dog, which had run into Moira Thorpe's front garden in Stockbreach Close, Hatfield.

The 55-year-old, who could not prevent the attack due to her severe arthritis, is now worried the Rottweiler could do something even worse like injuring a young child.
