A Hatfield man has been given a suspended sentence after being found with “extreme” porn involving a person and animals.

Graham Pinney, 82, admitted the offence when he appeared at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on April 24.

On November 9 in 2016, he was found with images that portrayed in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing sex acts with a live or dead animal.

The animals involved were dogs, eels, chickens and pigs.

The images were deemed grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character.

He was given a six-month jail term suspended for 12 months after magistrates considered the offence to be especially serious.

Pinney also admitted cultivating 12 cannabis plants in Hatfield.

The Deerswood Avenue resident was ordered to pay victim services £115 and £85 court costs.

He was fined £140.

The cannabis and DVDs of pornographic material were taken away to be destroyed.

The defendant’s guilty pleas were taken into account when the sentence was imposed.
