A BUDDING florist has won a bronze medal for her floral creations at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Stephanie Lui, 45, of Hatfield, competed against 15 other regional heat winners to gain third place in the Chelsea Florist of the Year Competition.
Ms Lui, who has owned a florist in Potters Bar for 18 years, said: "I'm so pleased that my work was recognised to be at such a high standard.
"The bar has been raised now. I won't stop till I get the gold."
The show, which took place last month, was attended by the Queen and exhibits some of the most rare and beautiful plants and flowers in the UK.
The competition brief included making a flamboyant floral hat by using flowers of the competitor's own choice.
Stephanie said: "I was greatly influenced by the Chinese/Japanese straw hats and wanted to recreate them. I used bamboo canes, lilies and heleborous.
"The Queen had actually come round to the hat section and had a quick browse.
"There was lots of interest from the show audience.
