Hatfield firefighters rescue trapped dog

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a dog that had got trapped in a fence in Hatfield.

The dog, a bull mastiff and Alsatian cross, had become trapped between two fences in Briars Lane last Tuesday, at around 1.30pm.

Firefighters from Hatfield collared the animal and cut away some of the fence to set him free.

It was returned to its owner.

One firefighter said: “It’s not what we usually do, it was a little bit unusual.”
