Hatfield's annual Easter egg hunt is making an egg-citing return to the town this March.

The competition runs between Friday, March 30 and Monday, April 16, when participating shops will conceal an egg in their aisles that children will have to find.

Youngsters then have to write down the name of each egg alongside the shop on an activity card – these can be picked up from the reception at White Lion House and participating shops.

To be in with a chance of winning, children just need to submit their completed entry to the reception at White Lion House.

Borough councillor Bernard Sarson said: “We’re pleased to see the return of Hatfield’s Easter egg hunt, with even more local retailers taking part and supporting the event.

“With more shops having opened in Hatfield, it is a great reason for families to pop into the town and whilst you’re doing some shopping, have a hunt for the eggs!”

There are prizes for first, second and third place, and the winners will be announced on Wednesday, April 18.
