A seven-year-old girl had the honour of turning on Hatfield’s Christmas lights.

Isabelle Collis flicked the switch on Saturday as part of her prize for writing the winning letter to Santa and posting it at the Hub.

Councillor Tony Kingsbury, chairman of Hatfield Town Team, said: “It was wonderful to see the town centre so full of people enjoying themselves. There was so much to see and do. There’s been some great improvements to the town centre this year, and the Christmas lights are now showing the town off to its best.”
