Murderer Carl Wheatley, who was convicted of killing his daughter Alexa-Marie Quinn on Wednesday, will be sentenced by Judge Andrew Bright QC today (Friday).

Wheatley, 31, of Queen Bee Court, Hatfield, had admitted manslaughter, but denied murdering the four-year-old at his home on March 12 last year.

But his lies cut no ice with the jury and he was stony-faced as the unanimous verdict was delivered.
