Four-year-old Alexa-Marie Quinn died at the Lister Hospital


A dad accused of murdering his four-year-old daughter wept when he appeared in court this morning (Tuesday).

Carl Wheatley, 30, was charged with killing Alexa Marie-Quinn last week.

The youngster died at the Lister Hospital after police were called to their home in Queen Bee Court on Wednesday.

During a brief hearing, Wheatley wept as he appeared at St Albans Crown Court.

He has yet to enter a plea. He is expected to do so on June 20.
