Staff at JJ Burgess and Sons Independent Family Funeral Directors have put together an eye-catching display of poppies and tributes in their Hatfield head office.

The business, which was established in 1839, was called upon to take care of a number of local soldiers who had died in both World War One and Two.

This year’s display was inspired by the 2014 Tower of London poppy display.

Senior funeral arranger and office manager Bradley Baxter said: “The displays have attracted great interest from clients and passers-by alike and it is hoped that donations to the Royal British Legion will increase as a result.
