Police are investigating four burglaries and one attempted break-in in Hatfield in two days.
At around 7pm on Saturday, January 26, a property in Cloverland was broken into.
The victim returned home to find the rear doors of the property open.
Burglars ransacked the home and stole jewellery (crime reference 41/8556/19).
Thankfully would-be burglars were disturbed when they tried to break into a home in The Holdings during the day on Friday, January 25.
They were disturbed while trying to smash the glass in a door (crime reference 41/8265/19).
Sometime on the same day, a home in Lemsford Road was broken into.
It is thought that burglars got in through a kitchen window. They made a mess in the house and it is not yet known what was stolen (crime reference 41/8274/19).
Again on Friday, burglars struck in Heathcote Avenue and smashed a back door glass panel. They made a mess inside (crime reference 41/8278/19).
That same afternoon, burglars smashed their way into a home in Briars Lane through the patio.
They made a mess in the bedrooms (crime reference 41/8266/19).
Police would urge people to ensure doors are double locked at all times and windows are kept closed and locked.
