Hatfield world boxing champion Billy Joe Saunders has been given bail while prosecutors consider dangerous dog charges.
On Tuesday, the WBO middleweight title holder pleaded not guilty at Hatfield Remand Court to using a guard dog at a stables in Much Hadham without a warning notice, and being in charge of Danny, an allegedly dangerous German shepherd that bit a man several times
But his co-defendant, 24-year-old Aaron Chalkley, who also lives on the Holwell Caravan Site, pleaded guilty to the second charge, and was fined £45, with a £20 victim surcharge, for his non-appearance at court the previous day.
Both Saunders and Chalkley have been given unconditional bail until March 31, while prosectors review the charges.
