A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A414 near Hatfield last night.

Emergency crews including police and firefighters were called to the scene of the crash on the A414 Hertford Road at 9.17pm yesterday evening.

A motorcycle heading east towards Hertford had left the carriageway and come to rest in the bushes.

The rider, described by police as aged in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by air ambulance for further treatment.
