A STUDENT from the University of Hertfordshire has made it to the final stages of this year's X Factor.
Despina Pilavakis, a second year music student at the Hatfield-based university, will appear on tomorrow (Saturday) night's show as one of 24 hopefuls aiming to sing their way into the final 12.
The 20-year-old from North London made it through boot camp last week and will be seen travelling to Dubai with judge Dannii Minogue and five other girls, as Dannii chooses her final three for the start of the live finals next weekend.
The girls are also put through their paces by Dannii's elder sister Kylie Minogue.
