‘Grumpy robber’ sought by police

AN alleged robber wearing a hoodie emblazoned with an “I’m Grumpy” slogan is being sought by police.

The appeal comes after two men escaped with cash from the Martins store in High View, Hatfield.

At around 5.25pm on April 27 the duo went into the shop and looked around before re-entering the store and approaching the counter.

Both then made attempts to force open the till before demanding the member of staff open it.

The till was opened by the staff member and one of the offenders took the cash before they both left – turning right towards Bishops Rise.

CCTV footage has been released and officers are keen to speak with anyone who in the area around this time, who saw two males acting suspiciously near the shop to contact police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B2/13/1247.
