Great Northern trains are running at reduced speeds this morning after a vehicle crashed into a bridge between Hertford North and Stevenage.
Great Northern states online: “Due to a road vehicle colliding with a bridge between Hertford North and Stevenage trains have to run at reduced speed on all lines.
“Train services running through these stations may be delayed by up to 15 mins. Disruption is expected until 12:00 19/10.
“It has been reported that a road vehicle has struck a railway bridge and Network Rail, who own and maintain the bridge have staff attending to check for damage.
“Whilst this is ongoing, our services may be delayed or subject to alteration.
“Once the line is open, we will be working to restore the train service to the normal timetable as quickly as possible. We are sorry for the problems this disruption will cause you.”
