THE Labour Party’s election campaign in Welwyn Hatfield was officially launched yesterday evening when a Government minister visited the borough.
Defence minister Bill Rammell, MP for Harlow since 1997, met parliamentary candidate Mike Hobday and Labour supporters at a rally in Lemsford.
Speaking at the meeting, which took place at Lemsford Hall in Brocket Road, Mr Rammell said: “I’m delighted to support Mike Hobday as the next Member of Parliament for Welwyn Hatfield.
“He used to work for me in Parliament and I know that he’ll be a dedicated and passionate representative for Welwyn Hatfield in the House of Commons.”
