A golf club raised more than £3,700 in 2013 for a Hatfield homeless charity to help fund vital services.

Mill Green Ladies Golf Club raised £3,785 by organising events and fundraising over the course of the last 12 months for Herts Young Homeless (Hyh), their charity of the year.

Claire Foster, charity marketing assistant said: “The ladies have been fantastic to us.

“Raising the necessary funds to provide our services has become increasingly difficult over recent years given the economic situation and the government’s welfare reform policies.

“The money raised by Mill Green Ladies Golf Club and other supporters is vitally important to our efforts to maintain the level of our services.”
