Welwyn Hatfield Council has brought its £1.2million Hatfield regeneration plans to life using video.
The video, which has been used to show developers the planned improvements for White Lion Square, shows off open space and new flower beds.
The regenerated town centre also features table tennis tables, play equipment, meet-and-work-style benches and a crescent arena at the top of the square.
More seating has been added and it appears in the video that the car park behind Peacocks has been increased in size.
A borough council spokeswoman said the blueprint was shaped by feedback from a public consultation in 2015.
She added: “A large open area will be retained in the middle of the square to accommodate the growing market and local events, as will the planters along the edge by Simmons leading down to Erol’s.
“More space and new paving will be provided outside shops for chairs and tables, encouraging al fresco eating and café culture.”
