A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl was rushed to hospital after she was in collision with a car.

The youngster was crossing Peartree Lane, WGC, directly outside the fish and chip shop.

Eyewitness Peter Hughes, who lives in nearby Longlands Road, saw the accident at about 5.20pm today (Thursday).

He said: "The young girl went down and looked in a bad way, I thought she was going to die.

After about five minutes of being on the floor, she was put in the ambulance and it seems as if she's going to be ok."

Ambulance spokesman Gary Sanderson said the girl was taken to the QE2 Hospital with minor injuries.
