Hatfield businesses are invited to take part in pancake racing

All town centre businesses in Hatfield are invited to take part in a Pancake Day race on Shrove Tuesday, February 28.

The event is from 12.30pm until 1pm under the arcade by White Lion Square, Hatfield.

Welwyn Hatfield mayor Patricia Mabbott will be presenting a prize to the winner at the end.

Councillor Bernard Sarson, executive member for business and partnerships, said: “The Pancake Day run has been designed as a fun event to bring town centre businesses together and forge closer business relationships.

“We think it would be great for everyone to meet each other – especially with several new businesses in the area – and have a laugh during their lunch break.”

All equipment will be provided – including pancakes.

If you would like to enter your business for the race, and your premises are in Hatfield town centre, please contact Lester Vaughan on or call 01707 357 240.
