Archant

Welwyn Hatfield people have had their say ahead of June’s general election.

Residents have voiced their opinions (above) on the vote being called, what their priorities are, and what they think of Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.

Mrs May called the surprise election last month, claiming it was the only way to “guarantee certainty and stability for the years ahead is to hold this election and seek your support for the decisions I must take”.

Grant Shapps will once again represent the Conservatives, and will compete against Labour candidate Anawar Miah and Lib Dem Nigel Quinton.

In 2015 the Tories won with around 50 per cent of the vote.
