A new MP for Hertsmere has been elected.
Conservative Oliver Dowden has triumphed in the seat, which includes Potters Bar, by a majority of 18,461.
The 36-year-old took 29,696 votes, with Labour’s Richard Butler in second place with 11,235.
On a 68.3 per cent turnout, Lib Dem Sophie Bowler took 2,777 votes, behind Frank Ward of Ukip, who polled 6,383.
