A PANTOMIME is being held to mark the 40th birthday of a community group.

The 17th WGC Brownies and Guides have been going for four decades this month and the current members will be performing in J.A.C.K and the Bean Tin - The Quest for the Panshanger Ruby.

They will be joined on stage by their younger counterparts, the 17th WGC Rainbows.

All three groups meet in the Panshanger area of WGC.

Leader Vicki Burrows said: "The story's about four girls who are being raised by a single mum.

"They have to sell their prized possession - their camel which they bought on eBay."

Guider Kate Moody added: "There are lots of gags about the area and many well-known characters are in the play."

The performances take place at the community centre in Moors Walk, WGC on Friday, February 29 at 7.30pm and Saturday, March 1 at 6.30pm.

For tickets call 01707 894194.
