THERE were emotional outbursts at Bishop's Hatfield Girls' School this morning (Thursday) as pupils received their GCSE results.
An impressive 70 per cent of the girls at the Woods Avenue school achieved at least five A* to C grades.
Overall, 36 per cent of all the grades were either A* or A - an improvement on last year.
Headteacher Theo Nickson said: "We are incredibly proud of our girls' achievement which is a real testament to the hard work put in by the girls and their teachers.
"There is no doubt in my mind that a positive attitude from the girls about their learning, strong parental support for the school and excellent teaching from staff all contribute to this brilliant set of results."
