GATES have opened at the inaugural Sonisphere festival which takes place at Knebworth Park this weekend.
And the Welwyn & Hatfield Times has today (Thursday) been given a sneak preview of the spectacular stages that will host the likes of Metallica and Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.
Campers are expected to start arriving at the site throughout today (Thursday), although the main bulk are anticipated to turn up on Friday evening.
The festival will be headlined by US nu-metallers Linkin Park on Saturday and will be closed by metal legends Metallica on Sunday.
More than 40,000 music fans are expected to attend each day.
