Firefighters were called to a garage and car fire in Welwyn Garden City.

Crews from Welwyn Garden City were called out just after 4.20am to Blythway, near Bessemer Road.

One hose reel was used.

A police spokesman said: “At 4.24am today, police were called by the fire service following a report of a garage fire in Blythway.

“A vehicle, a grey Peugeot 206, near the garage also caught fire.

“Police are currently liaising with the fire service and are investigating the fire in order to establish how it started.

“Anyone with any information in relation to the incident should contact Herts Police via 101.
