A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital suffering from suspected broken arms and legs following a car smash in WGC. The 60-year-old had to be cut from her Ford Ka by firefighters, after it was in collision with a Ford Fiesta on Hollybush Lane at 2.45pm today

A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital suffering from suspected broken arms and legs following a car smash in WGC.

The 60-year-old had to be cut from her Ford Ka by firefighters, after it was in collision with a Ford Fiesta on Hollybush Lane at 2.45pm today (Wednesday).

Four ambulances were called and, following treatment at the scene, the woman was taken to the QE2 Hospital.

The driver of the Fiesta, a woman believed to be in her 30s, was also taken to hospital.

An eyewitness said: "One person had to be cut out of a Ford Ka and two people were injured."

Hollybush Lane remains closed at its junction with Woodhall Lane.
