TRIBUTES have appeared following the death of two young men killed during a police chase.

The men were followed after a raid on a petrol station.

Glenn Stephens and Kurt Ferrari died instantly when the black Mazda convertible they were travelling in ploughed into railings.

Kurt Ferrari, 17, formerly of Parsonage Road, Welham Green, was a passenger in the car Glenn was driving.

Glenn, 25, lived with his on-off girlfriend of 10 years, Racheal Cousins, in Cranborne Crescent, Potters Bar.

The 23-year-old, who has three children with Glenn, Tilly-Mae, six, Sydney-Paige, four, and Harry, two, said he was the "love of my life".

Police said the two men had smashed their way into the BP garage, on Dollis Road, Mill Hill, at 12.25am on Tuesday last week.

It is said they stole 400 packs of cigarettes and a small amount of cash before speeding away.

Police were called to the scene and chased the victims before the getaway car careered into railings on the A1, south of Apex Corner, a few minutes later.

The two men died at the scene.
