VISITORS to Hatfield House got a taste of life in the country this weekend.
The annual Country Show at the 17th century estate attracted thousands of guests, who sampled traditional rural food, tried their hands at clay pigeon shooting and took a ride through the park on horseback.
Cookery writer Sophie Grigson was joined by MasterChef 2009 winner Mat Follas in the celebrity cookery theatre, dishing out typical country fayre, while BBC presenter Matt Baker joined in on Sunday, helping out with hawking and gun dog demonstrations.
