ALMOST 2,500 people took part in two charity runs at Hatfield House this weekend.

The Run 10k for Cancer Research UK events were held over Saturday and Sunday, with around 1,200 people taking part on each day.

Together, the money raised from the runs is expected to hit around �175,000.

Cancer Research UK's area events manager Meg Salmon said: "It was a really, really good atmosphere, and we had live music and entertainment throughout the course. It was just fantastic."
