CROWDS of people lined the streets for Remembrance Sunday in Welwyn Hatfield.
Despite the poor weather, it is thought a record number of people attended both remembrance services in WGC and Hatfield.
Ray Crawley, poppy organiser of WGC Royal British Legion, said: “It was a particularly poignant event.
“There was a very good attendance everywhere, people lined the streets and what was especially noticeable was the amount of young people there.”
