POTTERS Bar were beaten 4-2 by title-chasers East Thurrock United at Parkfield yesterday (Saturday).
Town found themselves 3-0 down at half-time after Kris Newby converted a penalty, Max Cornhill netted a free-kick and Martin Tuohy tapped in for the Essex visitors.
Scholars striker Sam Adejokun pulled one back soon after the break, only for Tuohy to nod in number four for United.
To the home side's credit they kept going and did get another when centre-half Dan Odamo rose highest to head in a Lewis Jones corner.
That made the final score 4-2 to the Rocks and left Potters Bar manager Adam Lee reflecting on a home defeat.
