The 24-year-old F1 driver from Herts took the chequered flag for McLaren Mercedes today (Sunday) in the Hungarian Grand Prix.

With a modified McLaren car after a series of aerodynamic upgrades, the British world champion started from fourth on the Hungaroring grid.

Watched by Pussycat Dolls singer girlfriend Nicole Scherzinger, Hamilton coasted to victory after taking the lead when Fernando Alonso pitted early on lap 11.

Hamilton then cruised home first by more than 10 seconds from Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen to take the top step of the podium once more.

"This car is so nice to drive," said Hamilton on the car radio to his team afterwards.
