THE future of Potters Bar's popular Christmas lights has been guaranteed for the next three years at least.
The news emerged after an application for �4,500 in cash from Potters Bar Rotary Club was given the thumbs up by county councillors.
Rotarians will use the grant to erect, power and maintain the Christmas lights in Darkes Lane, The Broadway and the High Street.
Further payments will also be made to the club in 2010 and 2011.
The money has been paid from the �10,000 locality budget of county councillor Eddie Roach.
