Sixteen arrests have now been made as part of a police crackdown on antisocial behaviour and suspected drugs use in Welwyn Garden City.

Three 16-year-old boys, all from Welwyn Garden City, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm. Two were arrested over the weekend and one was arrested today.

The boys have been released on bail with conditions, which includes a curfew not to leave their homes between the hours of 7pm and 7am. They are due to return to Hatfield Police Station on December 12.

The crackdown is in response to violence in the town centre involving roughly 20 youths at the end of last month, in which three men were assaulted and robbed.
