THE funeral of a soldier who died in a car crash in Wales is to take place on Thursday.
Corporal Daniel Ginty, 26, from WGC, was one of three squaddies who were killed when their Skoda Fabia skidded off a country road and through a brick wall in Pembrokeshire.
The group had been watching the Six Nations clash between Wales and England on Saturday, February 14.
Daniel, who served on the frontline in both Iraq and Afghanistan, was a keen rugby fan and played for Welwyn RFC.
A minute's silence was held at the club's game against Westcliff on Saturday.
His funeral is to take place at the St John the Evangelist Church, on Monks Rise, WGC, at 3pm.
This will be followed by a service at Harwood Park Crematorium in Watton Road, Knebworth.
A wake will be held at the Beehive pub, Beehive Lane, WGC, from 6pm.
